Emma Gordon

is a Movement Intuitive born and raised in New York City. Her journey in dance began in an afterschool program at P.S. 212 in Manhattan when she first studied with former Ailey Repertory Ensemble dancer Ted Pollen. She went on to attend Ballet Tech: The NYC Public School for Dance and trained from the legacy of Feld Ballet. There she gained exposure to the steep standards of the professional world throughout her teen years, performing works by Eliot Feld, Brian Brooks, and Laura Careless at the Joyce Theater, New Victory Theater, Delacorte Theater, and New York City Center. She attended The Alvin Ailey Professional Performing Arts School Program, where she trained under Director Guillermo Asca and its lush faculty. She has since graduated with her Honors College BFA in Dance from George Mason University. In her time at the School of Dance she intensely studied multiple techniques and theories of dance, as well as dancing works by Christopher d’Amboise, Camille Brown, Alejandro Cerrudo, Rafael Bonachela, Robert Kleinendorst, Susan Shields, and Director Karen Reedy, which earned her the award for Excellence in Performance in the program. She aims to dance with empathy and understanding at the core, and she hopes to cultivate that understanding in others. She is currently signed with Stewart Talent 's Lifestyle department and has booked commercials with Coca-Cola, she's working as a company member with Joyce King Dance Company and Go.Co directed by Maggie Golder. In 2025 she returned to Ballet Tech and performed in fellow alumni Edgar Peterson's premiere work "Lisse" for Ballet Tech's Kids Dance season at The Joyce. She has taken up Ted Pollen's role and is teaching dance to children back at P.S. 212, and is working independently as a Reiki trained bodywork Intuitive through her startup Cont.Em.Plation.
